Position: Warehouse Assistant
Location: RTF Warehouse, White Lund Industrial Estate, Morecambe, LA3 3PB
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm
Salary: £25’500 per annum
Holidays: 28 days including Bank Holidays
Job Description
As a key member of our team, your primary responsibilities will revolve around our warehouse operations, although your tasks may vary day-to-day. Some days you will be dispatching customer orders on their correct delivery days and booking in any deliveries, other days you may be delivering orders to local customers or taking stock to our showrooms. This role allows you to be involved in many areas of the business and get stuck in with the rest of the RTF team. You will be based in our Morecambe warehouse so it is essential you have a driving licence, and you will be able to use our company vehicles for any deliveries.

About the Candidate
We're on the lookout for someone who's proactive, can stay ahead of the game, and knows how to manage time effectively. Since a lot of the work in the warehouse involves driving a forklift truck, it's essential that you're comfortable behind the wheel. Plus, since you'll be handling heavy boxes of tiles and bags of adhesive, being in good shape is important. Basic computer skills are necessary too, since we manage all delivery notes, invoices, and stock control digitally. Don't worry if you're not an expert; we'll give you all the training you need on our computer system.
Essential
- Hold a valid U.K driving licence
- Forklift Truck experience
- Fit and healthy – you will need to be able to lift heavy tiles, bags of adhesive etc
- Good people skills
- Self-motivated and a proactive thinker
- Computer literate
- Previous warehouse experience
